Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Outpatient Nurse Manager to join our team and oversee our outpatient clinical operations.

 

As an Outpatient Nurse Manager, you will lead your team, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services to achieve exceptional results in the following areas:


Primary Care (Family Practice/Internal Medicine)
Rheumatology 

Sleep 

Urgent Care 

Behavioral Health

Endocrinology 


Your role includes managing the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates, overseeing orientation processes, and collaborating with Clinical Education to ensure staff competency. You will operationalize new policies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support process improvement initiatives to optimize patient safety and communication.

You will use analytical and data-driven techniques for decision-making, proficiently utilize technology, and contribute to strategic management and clinical practice knowledge. Financial management responsibilities include budgeting, monitoring, and reporting variances. Additionally, you will coordinate diagnostic and treatment activities, maintain liaison with medical staff, supervise clerical personnel, and assist with direct patient care during high-volume periods.

Leading people involves managing staff performance, modeling professional standards, and fostering open, collaborative relationships. You will ensure a diverse and psychologically safe environment, advocate for shared decision-making, and support staff engagement and satisfaction.

Professionalism is key, as you model continuous learning, participate in career planning, reflect on personal growth, and support the C.A.R.E.S. behaviors. You will manage staff performance using the Synergy Model, ensuring clinical judgment, patient advocacy, caring practices, collaboration, systems thinking, response to diversity, facilitation of learning, and clinical inquiry.

Professional requirements include maintaining current licensure and clinical competence, aligning with practice standards, and participating in continuing education activities.

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 8 Hour Days

Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • BLS required
  • ACLS/PALS are required in areas with crash carts
