Overview

Our Vascular Team at Presbyterian Hospital is looking for a qualified vascular technologist who performs all vascular ultrasounds and produces all imaging of the arteries and veins.

 

As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the vascular system, including the arteries and veins. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, abdominal, and peripheral vascular studies.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary findings to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Educate patients about the procedures and address any concerns they may have.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2 or more years of experience inpatient/outpatient vascular or general ultrasound preffered.
  • New Grads welcome to apply if graduate of a two year Allied Health Training Program

 

Education:

  • Graduate of a two year Allied Health Training Program preferred
  • High School Diploma required

 

Credentials:

  • ARDMS (RVT) /CCI (RVS) credential 

              OR

  • If credentialed in General will need to pass registry exam for ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) within one year of hire.

 

Certifications required:

  • BLS required at time of hire 
  • NMRTT - Registered Vascular Specialist, or registry eligible
