The Recovery Room at Rust Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse. Under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care

Provides clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety and direction of unit staff in designated service area.
Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of all patients in service area.
Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.

CDS Inpatient
Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP
Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
Oncology Chemotherapy certification
Academic Preparation:
Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing
