Presbyterian is seeking an Electrician to join our team.
Responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems across the facility. This role ensures the uninterrupted flow of utilities by executing maintenance operations aligned with existing design criteria. The Electrician plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and controlling facility maintenance activities, with a strong focus on preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Performs installations, modifications, and repairs of electrical circuits, fixtures, and equipment
Uses electrical test instruments and hand tools appropriately for all tasks
Executes preventative maintenance procedures on fixtures and equipment within assigned zones per SOPs
Takes primary responsibility for repairs, lubrication, and adjustments on hospital equipment to ensure safety and comfort
Prioritizes tasks and methods independently while adhering to PHS and Facility Services policies, procedures, and schedules
Evaluates and monitors the performance of building and utility systems in designated zones
Knows, understands, and follows all PHS and departmental policies and procedures
Continuously improves technical knowledge and skills through educational programs and in-service meetings
Understands department operating budget and recommends methods to keep operations within budget, including cost-reduction plans
Serves as a resource to departments within the zone for facility maintenance operations
Supports organizational vision, values, and strategic initiatives
Conducts periodic rounds in assigned areas to proactively identify issues
Reads and interprets blueprints, codes, and related documents to complete jobs accurately
Responds to routine and urgent maintenance requests in a timely manner
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
