Presbyterian is seeking a Plumber to join our team.
The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures, including piping, drains, valves, and water supply lines. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of facility plumbing infrastructure by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. The Plumber works independently or as part of a team to support uninterrupted utility flow, adhering to building codes and safety standards while coordinating with other trades to maintain overall facility functionality.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Use refrigeration test equipment including gauges, recovery systems, and hand tools to perform diagnostic and repair tasks
Install and repair refrigerated equipment and perform standard refrigeration maintenance procedures
Install and repair plumbing systems including piping, drains, fixtures, and related components
Operate plumbing service tools such as snakes, brazing and soldering equipment, threading machines, and hand tools
Conduct preventative maintenance on fixtures and equipment within assigned zones following Facility Services SOPs
Perform repairs, lubrication, and adjustments on hospital equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
Independently prioritize tasks and methods within established PHS and Facility Services policies and schedules
Monitor and evaluate performance of building and utility systems in designated zones
Adhere to all PHS and departmental policies and procedures
Continuously improve technical skills through educational programs and in-service training
Understand and support departmental budget goals; recommend cost-saving maintenance strategies
Serve as a technical resource for departments within assigned zones
Support the organization’s vision, values, and strategic initiatives
Conduct periodic rounds to assess facility conditions and equipment status
Read and interpret blueprints, codes, and technical documents to complete maintenance tasks
Respond to routine and urgent maintenance requests promptly and effectively
