Presbyterian is seeking a CT technologists. CT Techs perform diagnostic imaging using CT scanners, focusing on patient preparation, precise positioning, and operation of the equipment to produce high-quality images for medical evaluation. They administer contrast agents when needed, monitor patients during procedures, and adjust scan parameters to ensure clarity while minimizing radiation exposure. Their work includes reviewing images for accuracy, documenting procedures, and coordinating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. In a hospital setting, they handle a mix of routine, inpatient, and emergency cases, often working under pressure and adapting quickly to urgent clinical needs, making technical expertise and patient care skills equally essential.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Schedule, perform, and format various types of CT scans
Verify patient identity and confirm procedure before scanning
Review exam orders through patient charts or verbal confirmation
Educate patients about the procedure and answer questions
Document procedures and relevant patient history; conduct follow-ups when needed
Assist physicians during special procedures by preparing sterile trays and equipment
Anticipate equipment and supply needs during procedures
Maintain department policies, procedures, safety, and quality standards
Help with equipment upkeep and supply stocking
Attend staff meetings, inservices, workshops, and seminars for professional development
Become eligible for CT registry within 2 years of hire; recommended to be registered within 5 years
