Presbyterian is seeking a RN Manager for our Family Birthing team in Santa Fe.
The Family Birthing Manager oversees clinical operations and nursing care within the family birthing center, ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based practices for labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. This role includes managing staffing and workflow, mentoring nursing teams, coordinating with multidisciplinary providers, and implementing policies that align with patient-centered standards and regulatory requirements. The manager is responsible for fostering a supportive environment for both families and staff—championing quality improvement initiatives, promoting education and professional growth, and ensuring that the birthing experience is guided by empathy, clinical excellence, and respect for individual needs.
Type of Opportunity: Full Time (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 8 Hour Days

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Leads clinical and operational management of the family birthing center, ensuring delivery of safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
Oversees recruitment, orientation, and retention strategies to support team performance and organizational goals.
Maintains compliance with state and federal labor laws, optimizing workflows and staffing models to meet patient care needs.
Utilizes performance tools and data analysis to drive quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.
Integrates technology and clinical applications to enhance care delivery and streamline documentation processes.
Contributes to strategic planning, goal achievement, and outcome reporting for the birthing unit.
Manages financial operations including budgeting, variance analysis, and target achievement.
Oversees staff development, performance evaluations, mentoring, and succession planning.
Applies effective communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills in managing interprofessional teams.
Upholds cultural competence and diversity standards for staff and patients.
Supports shared governance and decision-making across clinical environments.
Promotes professionalism through continuous learning, reflective practice, and personal development.
Demonstrates leadership using the C.A.R.E.S. framework: Continuous learning, Accountability, Respect/Respond, Environmental safety, and Superior outcomes.
