Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Clinical Practice Specialist to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic.  The Clinical Practice Specialist will act as a liaison between the manager and/or director.  Provide operational support for the department and/or clinic. Assists the clinic, or department, leadership with operational efforts as requested; may include project implementation, program outreach, process improvement, and initiative support. May collaborate with clinical informatics to design and support to include (but not limited to): Utilizing the electronic medical record functionality to promote safe, quality patient care, and clinical initiatives related to clinical operations.

 

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 hour days

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of policy and procedure in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide support for regulatory readiness tracers and surveys.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of Evidence-Based Care initiatives.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations to support development of clinical workflow processes, identify gaps and coordinate solutions.
  • Collaborate with educational resources for development and implementation of clinical training.
  • Partner with clinical and operational departments to remove barriers to change and serve as a liaison to users, IT professionals, and leaders.
  • Attain cross-functional knowledge of the clinical information systems and key workflows in order to provide support and guidance to clinicians, IT professionals and leaders.
  • Performs other functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Three to five years experience required.
  • Two years experience in an Ambulatory Care setting required.
