Our General Medical Unit is looking for a Charge RN to join its team. The Charge RN will work under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s).
Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.9 FTE/36 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Nights

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assign and adjust nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses, promoting best practices in patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Monitor patient care quality and safety, addressing any concerns promptly.
