Presbyterian is seeking a Charge RN for our Emergency Department team. the Charge Registered Nurse works with the Department RN Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s).
Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.9 FTE/36 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Nights

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Provides clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes, including patient flow, care experience, quality, safety, and staff direction in designated service area
Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care for all patients in the unit
Serves as a resource and role model for nursing staff, promoting best practices and professional development
Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize bed utilization and continuity of care
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient care issues and improve outcomes
Monitors staffing levels and skill mix, making real-time adjustments to ensure adequate coverage
Facilitates communication between staff, patients, families, and leadership to support transparency and trust
Oversees documentation compliance and supports adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Responds to emergency situations and critical incidents, providing leadership and support during crises
Participates in performance improvement initiatives and audits to enhance unit operations
Mentors new staff and supports orientation and onboarding processes
Escalates concerns appropriately and contributes to conflict resolution among team member
