Overview

Presbyterian is seeking an RN Patient Flow Coordinator. The RN Patient Flow Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing the admission, transfer, and discharge processes across hospital departments. This position ensures that patients are placed appropriately based on clinical needs and bed availability, helping maintain smooth operations and high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed utilization and reduce delays.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing units, emergency departments, perioperative services, and administrative teams.
  • Monitor patient flow metrics and identify bottlenecks or delays in care pathways.
  • Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely decision-making and patient placement.
  • Support clinical staff by providing leadership and guidance on patient throughput issues.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and reduce length of stay.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
